PMU Rescue
Each year the pharmaceutical industry impregnates thousands of mares in order to harvest their hormones for use in menopausal women. The foals from these inseminations are considered to be a “waste byproduct” of an industrial process. Most are sent for slaughter. A fortunate few are rescued such as those shown here. Centerline Stables adopts many foals each year. We provide training, care and assist in finding homes for these fortunate few. A sampling of these lucky equines are shown in the following pictures.
